Alison Watkins to step down from the ANZ Board in April 2014
The Chairman of Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited John Morschel today confirmed that Alison Watkins would step down from the ANZ Board in April 2014 following her appointment as Group Managing Director of Coca-Cola Amatil Limited.
Ms Watkins’ decision to resign as an ANZ director reflects workload commitments in her executive new role.
Mr Morschel said: “Alison has made a wonderful contribution to the ANZ board since joining in November 2008. This includes her role as Chair of the Human Resources Committee, where she has successfully overseen a period of very significant change in remuneration reporting and practices.
“It is with considerable regret that we see her leave the board but we understand the demands of her new role as Group Managing Director of Coca-Cola Amatil. We wish her every success in the future,” Mr Morschel said.
